2018 Fender American Special Telecaster – Sherwood Green Metallic – Matched Samarium Cobalt Noiseless (SCN) Pickups – Gotoh In-Tune Saddles – OHSC

Bought new in 2018 and kept in my home studio ever since. It's been my go-to for recording and writing sessions, played regularly and well cared for, stored in its case or on a stand in a climate-steady room. Smoke-free home.

It plays great with a standard setup. Restrung with NYXL 10s, the neck is straight, the truss rod works with plenty of adjustment left, and the frets were just cleaned and polished, with plenty of life left and no lifting or sprouting ends. All electronics are fully functional, with no scratchy pots or switching issues.

Condition is Excellent by Reverb's standards: normal light wear with a few minor dings and scratches, all shown in the photos. Nothing that affects playability.

Pickups: I bought this guitar new, and the dealer had already installed a Fender Samarium Cobalt Noiseless (SCN) pickup in the neck position before the sale. I later swapped the bridge pickup for a second SCN to make a matched set. The result is that classic Tele snap and clarity without the single-coil hum, which is great for recording and quiet at high gain.

Bridge Upgrade: Shortly after buying it, I installed Gotoh In-Tune compensated brass saddles. Their angled string grooves give each string its own contact point, fixing the intonation compromise of a 3-saddle Tele bridge while keeping the vintage look and brass twang. The grooves also keep the strings seated so they don't wander on the saddles.

It comes with a used black Fender Classic Series Strat/Tele hardshell case showing minor signs of regular use, with some stickers on the outside. Structurally it's solid and protects the guitar well.
