Selling my like-new Friedman IR-X dual tube preamp/DI pedal.
This is a real high-voltage tube preamp (two 12AX7s), not a digital emulation. It provides genuine Friedman tone in a pedalboard-sized unit, and features:
- Two independent, footswitchable channels — Ch. 1 goes clean/British chime to Plexi crunch, Ch. 2 is the Friedman high-gain voice
- Independent boost per channel (basically 4 channels in one)
- Per-channel 3-band EQ + voicing switches
- Built-in cab/power amp simulation with selectable Friedman IRs, plus ability to load your own IRs
- Studio-quality DI out for recording or FOH
- Effects loop, MIDI + USB-MIDI, headphone output
- Three footswitches for full channel/boost control
The Friedman IR-X is extremely versatile. It can be used “live” in a variety of ways and it is also very well suited to recording. Free editor software can be downloaded on the Friedman website.
This pedal has never left my home, works perfectly and ships in the original box with a power supply.
