Gibson Les Paul Standard ’60s AAA Top – Bourbon Burst
The Gibson Les Paul Standard ’60s Bourbon Burst is a special-spec version of the classic Les Paul Standard, featuring an upgraded AAA Figured Maple top typically associated with higher-tier Gibson instruments. Paired with a solid mahogany body and gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, the highly figured top gives this model a more distinctive appearance while retaining the traditional construction of the ’60s Standard.
The mahogany neck features Gibson’s SlimTaper profile and a rosewood fingerboard with a 12" radius, 22 Medium Jumbo frets, and acrylic trapezoid inlays. The fingerboard is Plek processed for consistent fretwork and precise setup.
A pair of Gibson ’60s Burstbucker humbuckers provides the electronics, wired to the traditional dual-volume and dual-tone layout with Orange Drop capacitors and a 3-way toggle selector. An ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, lightweight aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, and Grover Rotomatic tuners complete the classic Les Paul hardware package.
