1968 Fender Telecaster in Olympic White.
Maple cap
It is 100% original but two things were addressed prior to my ownership. The tone pot shaft was shot and the neck pickup had a short that was corrected. A period correct 1966 pot was put in and had the neck pickup repaired. It plays and sounds great and has all that 68 Tele vibe. The maple cap neck is super straight and the original frets have plenty of life left. Typical 60's C shape neck profile. Measures .084 at the 1st fret and .091 at the 12th. The action is low with no buzz. The Olympic White finish , which is harder to find than the more common Blonde , has turned the typical banana yellow. Light at 7lbs 2oz. and feels really good.
There are plenty of nicks and dings along with checking that shows its age but it's all honest aging of over 50 yrs.
Nice original case with working latches.
Beautiful example of an original 68 maple cap tele!
