This vintage AKG dynamic mic still has a practical use. It's not just a collectors item!
With an original frequency response of 20 Hz to "beyond" 20,000 Hz, and able to withstand high sound pressure levels, it's a flexible studio mic for instruments, amps, vocals and drums. One can be seen as an overhead for Ringo Star in some photos.
This example is very clean. It sounds great. It has one bent fin.
The roll off switch works well.
As a professional soundman, I am very critical of equipment condition, and I found that this mic has a slightly loose upper capsule. This is only noticeable as a slight click if you used it to lollipop an interview, which I'm confident no-one would.
In a mic clip, on a stand, this problem would never come up. But I have reflected this in the price.
This is a chance to pick up a great quality vintage mic for a low price.
It comes complete with an original hard case.
