2016 Gibson Firebird V with upgrades. Recently set up by a luthier, it plays incredibly smooth with low and comfortable action.
Includes a custom-made hardshell case crafted by a luthier where the guitar fits like a glove. I had it done because the Gibson rectangular case is maaassive with so much unused space, and it doesn't fit most European car trunks as this guitar is quite long, so problem solved.
It's been played and features a relic and some aesthetic mods, including gold Gibson knobs and a gold pickup selector switch (original black hardware is also included). Additionally, the logo section on the headstock has been painted white. It has attitude and is one of a kind, so if your preference is a brand new looking guitar, this is not it.
This was one of the last traditional neck-through construction models: the neck is a central piece that runs through the entire body, delivering that unmistakable sustain of an authentic Firebird. Current standard models—unless you go for a +$5k Custom Shop reissue—feature glued-in necks.
Furthermore, the highly sought-after 2016 model is one of the few equipped with Steinberger gearless tuners. These are the most precise and reliable tuners ever fitted on a Firebird, drastically reducing the high headstock breakage risk commonly associated with traditional banjo tuners.
