Part of Sennheiser's EW-D digital wireless family, the successor to the evolution G4: base set: bodypack transmitter and half-rack receiver, no microphone — add your own lav, headset, or instrument cable. Digital transmission means no compander artifacts and no static bursts, with a flat dynamic range wide enough that hot sources don't clip the transmitter. Setup runs from the Smart Assist phone app, which scans the Q1-6 band, picks clean frequencies, and syncs everything; the equidistant channel grid lets up to 90 channels run together without intermodulation planning. The starting point when you already own the mic: the pack takes any Sennheiser-standard 3.5 mm lav, headset, or instrument cable.
