A superb example of Gibson Custom Shop’s 1959 ES-355 Reissue, finished in Ebony with VOS treatment and gold hardware.
I purchased the guitar from Guitar Village in January 2022 and have the original purchase receipt. It has been very well looked after and is in excellent condition. The VOS finish and aged appearance of the gold hardware are part of the original factory specification.
This is the classic high-spec ES-355 configuration, featuring an ebony fingerboard with large block inlays, multi-ply binding, split-diamond headstock inlay, gold hardware, twin humbuckers and Tune-O-Matic bridge with stop-bar tailpiece.
The guitar plays beautifully and has everything you would expect from a high-end Gibson Custom Shop ES-355 — a wonderfully rich, articulate semi-hollow sound with plenty of versatility.
It comes complete with its original Gibson Custom Shop hard case and accompanying Gibson documentation/COA, together with the original Guitar Village purchase receipt, as shown in the photographs.
