This is a Maxon D&S (Distortion & Sustainer).
Works well as a smooth pillowy distortion with the gain and tone knob low, or a cutting high gain fuzz with the gain and tone high.
I am not a circuit expert, but the internet says this is basically a Ram's Head Muff style circuit. Having owned both, I'd say they are similar but not identical. This pedal seems to have slightly more mids and less bass, making it a little more usable with the average rig IMO.
It is in good cosmetic condition (refer to photos). No box.
