This 1987 Ibanez RG140 Roadstar II in Red is a well-preserved example of an early Korean-made Ibanez performance guitar. Produced during an important transitional period for Ibanez, the RG140 combines the comfortable contours of the Roadstar series with the fast feel and versatile electronics that would help define the company’s later RG models.

Its lightweight basswood body is paired with a bolt-on maple neck and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The 25.5-inch scale provides familiar string tension and definition, while the double-cutaway body offers comfortable access to the upper frets.

The HSS pickup configuration combines two single-coils with a bridge humbucker, providing clear clean tones, classic in-between sounds and a stronger bridge voice for rock and lead work. A five-way selector, master volume and master tone keep the controls simple and versatile, while the traditional tremolo adds expressive pitch control.

This vintage guitar is in excellent condition, especially considering its age, and has been well cared for.
