Volute came in ‘70 - as did “Made in USA” on the back of the headstock - well, this one’s got a little mosquito bite of a volute and no “made in…”. She’s right on the cusp.
Either way, it’s just a rippin’ little guitar. Nice strong P-90. Stays in tune great with vibrola use. No breaks, cracks, or repairs present at all. It’s hard to describe how good this neck is. Yes, it’s a narrow but width but the meat of this neck…it just makes up for it somehow. It’s really full and comfortable. A blast to play.
A small portion of the logo is missing…it’s one of those weird transitional headstocks. Just a great little guitar and a good way to get into the vintage game without cashing in your 401k.
It weighs 7lb 11oz on my kitchen scale.
