This 2013 Gibson LPJ is finished in the distinctive Rubbed Trans White finish.
Based on inspection, the guitar appears to retain its original factory finish, original Gibson pickups, original PCB electronics, pots, wiring, bridge, tailpiece and main hardware. The electronics are consistent with the Gibson quick-connect system used on these models, and both pickups are Gibson USA units.
One of the defining characteristics of the Rubbed Trans White finish is how thin and semi-transparent it is. On this guitar, the grain and natural pores of the wood remain clearly visible, particularly across the back and along the edges. In several areas, the finish has naturally worn thinner over time, allowing more of the underlying mahogany color and grain to show. This type of aging is consistent with the nature of the original factory-applied finish.
The guitar is in Very Good condition overall. It shows typical signs of use, including light surface marks, areas of finish thinning and some edge wear. There is no major structural damage or visible repair.
There are two cosmetic modifications worth noting. A black pickguard was installed by a previous owner. Since the LPJ was originally sold without a pickguard, two small mounting holes were added for the installation. The original truss rod cover has also been replaced with the black graphic cover currently on the guitar.
A Gibson hardshell case is included. The LPJ originally came with a gig bag, so the hardshell case is an upgraded addition and is not original to the guitar.
Overall, this is an honest 2013 LPJ that appears to retain its important factory components, while showing the natural aging expected from this unusually thin finish. The Gibson hard case also adds useful protection for storage and transport.
