The JHS Crayon brings the iconic "direct-in" Neve recording console preamp distortion (made famous by the JHS Colour Box) into a standard, pedalboard-friendly size. It delivers everything from warm studio preamp tone to heavy overdrive and velcro-like gated fuzz.
Key Features:
- Pre-Vol: Works as a gain control—ranges from subtle preamp dirt to massive console clipping and gated fuzz.
- Master Volume: Controls overall output volume.
- Tilt Control: Powerful active EQ. Turn left to boost bass/cut treble; turn right to boost treble/cut bass.
- Hi-Pass Filter: Toggle switch with side-mounted 200Hz/750Hz DIP selector to cut low-end and slice through the mix.
Condition Notes:
- Functional Condition: 100% fully operational. All pots, switches, and jack connections work as intended.
- Cosmetic Condition: Shows noticeable wear. The back plate has Velcro installed, with paper/sticker residue present beneath the Velcro. Light cosmetic marks on the white finish from normal pedalboard use.
