These are a pair (bought as a pair) in near new condition. Lightly used. The windscreens, mic clips, and stereo bar are included along with the original case.
The AKG C451 B is a legendary, small-diaphragm pencil condenser microphone that has gone through structural geographic shifts since its original concept.
- The Design Heritage: The mic is an exact modern descendant of the 1969 C451 EB + CK1 capsule combination. That classic predecessor was designed and handcrafted completely in Vienna, Austria.
- Early Reissues: When AKG initially reintroduced the modernized C451 B version in the 2000s, it was still being built by AKG technicians at the historic factory in Vienna, Austria.
- Current Production: Following the 2017 closure of the Vienna facilities, production of AKG's top-tier studio condenser microphones—including the C451 B and the C414 series—was relocated. Today, new factory models are manufactured at Harman/Samsung's facility in Pécs, Hungary.
