The G5700 is essentially a modern Gretsch take on the old Hawaiian/electric lap-steel design. It’s particularly suited to blues, country, Hawaiian sounds. Guitar World described its single-coil sound as particularly good for clean, swelling “pseudo pedal-steel” tones.
