Core USA Custom 24 built on 27 December 2001, from what many players consider PRS's strongest era. Black Cherry over flame maple top, 3.6 kg / 7 lbs 15 oz.
What sets it apart: the HFS / Vintage Bass pickups were ordered in Zebra from the factory. The original paperwork reads "SP Order: Zebra". Not a modification, a period-correct special order, rarely seen on a Black Cherry.
Open, balanced voice with the power and clarity the HFS / Vintage Bass pair is known for. Articulate cleans, thick crunch that stays readable, and the full range of the 5-way rotary. Comfortable, precise, easy to play for hours.
Condition, stated openly:
- Very good overall, light buckle rash on the back, cosmetic only
- Frets 9/10
- The guitar is all original
