About this Snare Instead of traditional snare wires on the bottom head, this drum features internal steel "beads." Depending on the tilt/angle of the snare on its stand, the beads can either spread freely across the bottom head or settle toward one side. This subtly changes the response and damping. The result is a deep, warm tone with a pleasantly muffled/damped snare response. Truly unique—you won't find this anywhere else! Parish Drums has engineered a real solution to harsh, overpowering snare volume: it sounds different, and mechanically it is completely unique.

The snare also includes the dedicated dampening pad provided by Parish Drums, which sits directly on the batter head to achieve its signature sound.
