This isn’t a generic office Mac that’s been sitting under someone’s desk. This was one of the workhorses of my recording studio — and now the studio is retiring.

After many years of recording, producing, editing and generally making a lot of noise, I’m now retiring my recording studio.

This is the proper Mac Pro tower — Apple’s magnificent aluminium “Cheese Grater” workstation.

And this particular one has been part of my professional recording studio, rather than spending its life answering emails and watching cat videos.

It’s been well looked after, kept in excellent condition and is now looking for another studio, creative setup or professional environment where it can get back to doing what it does best.

🚀 NVMe expansion

The Mac has a PCIe NVMe expansion card installed, ready for the new owner to add their own M.2 NVMe SSD.

No NVMe SSD is included on the card — the beauty of this is that you can choose the capacity and drive you want.

Add 1TB, 2TB, 4TB or more and you’ve got yourself a seriously fast additional storage/work drive for sample libraries, audio sessions, video or anything else that likes to eat disk space.

I’m retiring the recording studio.

The studio is being retired, so I’m letting the equipment go to people who will actually use it.

I’d much rather see this beast running another studio than sitting quietly in a corner gathering dust.

CONDITION

Excellent used condition.

The aluminium enclosure is exceptionally clean, and the machine has been looked after throughout its studio life.
