Tama Artstar ES (Esprit) 4-Piece Drum Kit – 22/12/13/16 – Made in Japan Era

Tama Artstar ES (Esprit) 4-piece drum kit in the classic 22”, 12”, 13” and 16” configuration.

A great-sounding Tama kit from the Artstar era, with a powerful, warm and full-bodied sound. The 12”, 13” and 16” toms have plenty of depth and resonance, while retaining the attack and projection you would expect from a classic Tama rock kit.

Configuration:

• 22” bass drum
• 12” rack tom
• 13” rack tom
• 16” floor tom

The toms are currently fitted with Remo Coated Ambassador batter heads and Remo Ambassador Clear resonant heads, which really open up the shells and give the kit a big, lively sound.

The bass drum is currently fitted with an Aquarian Super Kick 10 batter head and Aquarian Regulator resonant head.

The kit is used and naturally shows signs of age and use. Please refer to the pictures for the cosmetic condition. Overall, it presents very well for a kit of this age.

The Artstar ES / Esprit is becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially as a complete 22/12/13/16 configuration. A very cool Tama kit for anyone looking for that classic late-’80s / ’90s rock sound without going for a modern production kit.
