1970 Ludwig 3 ply Bass Drum in Maple Thermogloss - 14x22
A survivor! 3 ply Original Maple Thermogloss with a date stamp inside of Oct 6, 1970. Mostly original parts included the hard to find matching single ply maple hoops, 20x large lugs, 20x T-rods & claws, a newer diamond double tom mount, and more modern 1/2" curved bass drum spurs. No extra holes, but the spurs holes were enlarged for the 1/2" version. Original front head! Drum does show some wear - finish is still solid with the lightest checking barely visible, but some wear from where the toms were resting on top of the bass drum. Hoops show some wear too but not gouges or cracks. Chrome is tarnished with some corrosion - pitting on the lugs and light rust ofn the claws. With a good cleaning this could be a very nice drum! It sounds awesome!
