I bought this as a part of an outboard recording chain in my eternal quest for analog sauce. Having this in my chain (which is already pretty saucy) just added a bit too much sauce.
I used it with just my API 312 pre to get a feel for what it does on its own and it really does add the feel of a vintage analog console's worth of transformers on its own.
I think this works best if you don't have a lot of outboard gear but want the perceived weight of a lot of outboard gear in one module. Having two to run a mix through would probably sound pretty great too.
