Wow! Don’t come across receivers in this amazing condition WITH the original double box, packing and owner’s manual!!!

This receiver was either extremely well cared for, or rarely, if ever, left the box! Look at the top off pictures…not a single bit of staining or rust on the chassis. I included a picture of the heat sink that holds the output transistors…the floor underneath is near spotless!!!

I sent the receiver to my tech so he could replace the bulbs I couldn’t 😈, and to go over it to double check my findings that this receiver sounds like it should…Incredible! All sources checked out good…I lubricated the tuning mechanism, noting that the string had been changed and upgraded at some point. All the pots and switches were cleaned with Deoxit, and I polished the outputs for perfect connection.

The cosmetic condition is, as mentioned, near museum quality. I was amazed by the condition of the sticker on the back panel…it looks like I placed it there yesterday!! There’s not a scratch on the cabinet, and while the faceplate has some black paint wore off on the leading edges, there’s no scratches, and only one knob has a very fine scratch that would be difficult to see even if you knew it was there! The feet are also in perfect condition…now throw in the original double layer box with packing AND original owner’s manual, and we’re talking about a heirloom piece that can be handled down for another 50 years!

The only things to pick on is for some reason, (certainly had my tech scratching his head), the AM indicator lamp stays lit, very faintly when other sources are selected…also, the dial pointer doesn’t illuminate…but that’s it!!

I will place the original box in another box for shipping, and will insure it for the full purchase price.
