Condition: This 2008 Gibson SG Special Robot is in near-mint condition and rates a solid 9.7/10. Minor surface scratches and light handling marks only. One small mark at the top of the headstock as commonly seen. Frets are in excellent shape with negligible wear and have been fully dressed and polished. Pickguard shows some pick marks and the hardware remains very clean overall. Single-owner instrument, kept in a smoke-free studio environment since new.
Tec Specs: First off, this is an incredible-playing SG and one that really stands out. Acoustically, it has great resonance and a lively, responsive feel, and when plugged in it absolutely howls- raw, aggressive, and full of character. Set up with 9–42s, the 50s rounded neck feels fast, supportive, and extremely comfortable all the way up the board. Most Robot SGs have their electronics completely removed and hardwired, but this example retains all original components aside from the disconnected master control knob and battery. The former treble tone position now operates as a push-pull kill switch, making this a rock-solid, stage-ready SG with exceptional tuning stability thanks to the double-locking tuners and upgraded bridge. In short, this is a seriously well-engineered, top-class SG that never goes out of tune and delivers big tone in spades.
