This is a 1920s banjolele / banjo ukulele made by the Slingerland company in Chicago. It has been cleaned up and brought back to playing condition. Solid dark-stained maple construction throughout, ebony fretboard, curly walnut peghead veneer, original vellum head, with period-correct Non-tip bridge. The original bakelite friction tuners are in fine shape and hold tune well. Replacement No-Knot tailpiece. Brand new set of Aquila Nylgut strings. This little banjolele plays well with a very comfortable action.
