1966 Fender Jazz Bass with an excellent Burgundy Mist Refinish. The body and headstock have been refinished, and a new decal has been applied. Reissue metal covers. New nut. Very good condition. Rosewood fingerboard with block inlays and a tortoise guard. Supplied in a brand new Fender hard case.
The body finish has a few small scuffs and dings, mainly around the edges of the body, as well as lacquer checking throughout. The back of the neck has a few scuffs and tiny dings but nothing major. The frets are in great condition with plenty of life left in them. The truss rod works correctly with plenty of room to move.
This bass is a joy to play with a superb, even sound right across the fretboard. It's been fully set up in our workshop and is strung with D'Addario Chrome flats. Weight: 9 lbs 7 oz / 4.8 kg. Serial: 176439. The neck date is DEC 66A. The pickup dates are not visible. The pots all date to 1966. ( Two are CTS and one is Stackpole) Nut Width 38 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21.5 mm.
