Up for offer is this early example of boutique amp-builder Bob Reinhardt's 18-watt head, based on the Marshall 1974/18-watt circuit, with significant circuit refinements.

All-tube, hand-wired turret-board construction, using premium components and uncompromising boutique build throughout.

Powered by two EL84 power tubes in a cathode-biased output stage.

Two channels, each with separate high- and low-inputs: Normal, with Volume and Tone controls, based closely on the classic Marshall 1974/18-watt circuit; and Bright, where Reinhardt's modifications really shine.

For the Bright channel, Reinhardt eliminated the original Marshall tremolo circuitry and instead used that part of the circuit for an additional gain stage and a full-range tone stack. The result is a remarkably versatile channel that can go from clean and chimey, through bluesy crunch, to a hot-Plexi-type sound. Controls are Master Volume, Volume, Treble, Mid, and Bass.

Selectable impedance to match your cabinet - 4, 8, or 16 Ohms.

Beautiful green-and-white Tolex with bronze/gold-tone appointments.

The "SV" version of this amp - main difference is power scaling, which this model does not have - was named best "low-wattage / high performance amp in by Premier Guitar's 2008 Premier Gear Awards reviewers, where they noted that "Not all low-wattage amps are quiet, as evidenced by the gig-ready Reinhardt SV 18. Starting with the same basics as the Marshall 1974X that spawned the entire genre—three 12AX7s, two EL84s and a EZ81 rectifier tube—Bob Reinhardt created an amp that sounds great at pretty much any setting. This versatility made the amp great for a number of genres, but fans of old-school Marshalls should take special note."
