The 30 inch scale length, measuring 76.2 cm, gives the bass an effortless response and comfortable feel under the hands. Its roasted maple neck features an ebony fretboard, 22 high profile, wide stainless steel frets, and classic dot inlays. The neck measures 0.833 inches (21.16 mm) at the nut and 0.936 inches (23.77 mm) at the 12th fret. A gunstock oil and hand rubbed special wax blend creates a smooth, natural neck feel, while the five bolt neck joint provides a solid connection. The adjustable truss rod can be accessed without removing components or strings.
A passive Neodymium StingRay Humbucker delivers the punch, clarity, and distinctive character associated with the StingRay design. The rotary three way control provides parallel, single coil, and series configurations, giving the player a versatile palette of tones. A vintage Music Man top loaded bridge features a chrome plated steel bridge plate with vintage nickel plated steel saddles, while custom Music Man lightweight tuning machines use tapered string posts and ergonomic clover designs for smooth and precise tuning.
Strung with 45w, 65w, 85w, and 105w Short Scale Regular Slinky Bass strings, the Galactic Pearl StingRay arrives ready to play and includes a padded softshell case.
