Deagan 592 Commander 1970's

Refurbished Deagan 592 Commander Vibraphone was manufactured by J.C. Deagan in Chicago between 1965 and 1976. Deagan built incredible instruments and 1000's are still in use today. At the time this was built, the three octave 592 Commander was Deagan's answer to the 3 octave Musser M55 vibraphone.

The keys to this instrument have been refinished and tuned in the last two years by the the legendary Century Mallet shop in Chicago. The variable speed motor works. This vibraphone obviously was not moved a lot over the years as the frame is solid and tears down and sets up easily. The one cosmetic flaw is a very small ding in one of the resonators that can be seen if you zoom into the close up photo of the front. For a 50+ year old instrument it is in amazing condition and is a professional level, gig ready vibraphone.
