975 Moog Minimoog Model D — Original Vintage — Serial #7796 — Professionally Serviced 2026

Original vintage Moog Minimoog Model D, Serial #7796, manufactured by Moog Music, Inc. in Williamsville, New York, dating to approximately 1975. This Moog sound incredible, kept in smoke free studio for 28 years I am second owner, previous owner was an engineer at Power Station where this Moog was used on records by David Bowie, Madonna , Brian Eno, Talking Heads and more

This is an original 1970s Model D—not a reissue—and a genuine piece of analog synthesizer history.

RECENT PROFESSIONAL SERVICE / RESTORATION

The Minimoog received an extensive professional service at Audio Design and Service Inc. in Burbank, California, completed July 23, 2026.

According to the service invoice, the work included:

“Diagnostic, restore keys, pots & switches, clean, test.”

The service totaled $958.38, and the original invoice will be included/documented with the sale.

COSMETIC CONDITION

Good vintage condition with honest wear from approximately 50 years of use.

The wooden cabinet shows scratches, scuffs, small nicks and areas of finish loss, particularly along the front edge, side rails and corners. There are several more noticeable areas of finish wear/chipping around the corners, all clearly photographed.

The front control panel presents very well for its age, with clear graphics and a complete-looking set of knobs and switches. The keyboard also presents well with normal age-related wear/discoloration.

There is an old “Pleasure Signals From Visa” sticker on the left side of the wooden cabinet that has been left intact as part of the instrument’s history and patina.

I’ve deliberately photographed the wear closely so there are no surprises. This isn’t being represented as a museum-condition Minimoog—it’s a beautiful, well-used original instrument with the marks of its roughly 50-year history.

Recently professionally serviced, cleaned and tested and ready for its next studio or collection.
