Selling a vintage, German-made Carl Essbach (CEA) Chemnitzer concertina with its original hard case. This is a 52-button model (28 right hand / 24 left hand).
The Good:
Bellows are tight and hold air very well. Still attractive cosmetic condition with original black body and intricate mother-of-pearl vine and leaf inlays. Green inner bellows paper is fully intact.
The Condition:
It is being sold as-is. Structurally excellent, but it has been sitting. A few buttons do not currently sound their full multi-reed chorus, and a couple of notes sound wheezy. It will need standard internal valve/leather adjustment and reed cleaning to be 100% gig-ready. Perfect for a collector, player, or restoration enthusiast.
