Up for your consideration is another amazing microphone that gets regular use in my studio. It has been well kept and maintained in the few decades I’ve owned it, and sounds absolutely incredible.
This is an early, first production run AKG C 451 EB condenser microphone Made in Austria. With a low serial number (Nr 1464), this is one of the first microphones built after the change to the EB model, which added the bass-cut switch in the early 70’’s. This microphone is very rare in the fact that it is an early production silver model that still has its original, non-engraved matched CK 1 capsule. It is almost impossible to find these with their original matched capsules, especially that have not been refurbished (which this one has not needed). I used this microphone quite often for acoustic instruments and strings- think acoustic guitar, mandolin, cello, etc. but is also a great overhead/room mic. The microphone is in excellent Vintage condition and works completely as it should. Only selling as I refresh my studio and thin down on equipment that I have multiples of.
Shipping cost includes materials, handling and insurance on this vintage microphone. Also listed for sale locally, so don’t miss out! Always open to trades, but not really looking for much. Please ask any questions prior to purchase. Cheers!
