24" scale length one-piece, solid body, figured maple lapsteel. Features a wenge fingerboard with maple fret lines and purfling, wenge binding, and holly position dots. The pickup is height-adjustable and is made, wound, and wax vacuum-potted in house, and the bobbin is topped with a wenge/holly/wenge/holly/wenge ply -- it's wound to about ~14Kohm resistance and uses Alnico 5 magnet polepieces. Features locking Hip Shot tuning machines in chrome/open gear. Uses an unbleached bison bone nut with 2.45" string spacing. The top-loading bridge has 2.7" total string spacing and has a machined aluminum body with a brushed finish, and it features a stainless-steel saddle. The controls knobs are standard master volume and hi roll off tone controls using 500K pots and a .022uF orange drop capacitor. The control cavity is shielded in copper and the bridge is properly grounded to the electronics. Finished in hand rubbed Clean Armor satin poly finish -- akin to a Tru Oil finish in appearance (for reference) *but it is harder and clearer, and it is not prone to fingerprints or requiring polishing. Feels great to handle and is heat branded with my "r" logo and signed/dated within the control cavity. Weighs in at ~6lbs. Comes strung with SIT half round C6 strings GACEGACE(54-15) and the nut will accommodate typical gauges of your choice. Ships with a robust, snug fitting gig bag, and I ship using double walled boxes.
