The Gibson Custom Shop Limited Edition 1954 Les Paul Custom Reissue in Heavy Aged Ebony is a faithful tribute to one of Gibson's most distinctive early electric guitars. Built with a solid Mahogany body and no weight relief, it features a Heavy Aged Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish and multi-ply binding on the top and back. The Ebony finish and carefully aged treatment give this instrument the unmistakable appearance and character of a well-loved vintage original.

The Mahogany neck features the substantial 1950s Chunky D profile and a long neck tenon, providing the authentic feel and traditional construction associated with the original era. Its Ebony fingerboard features a 12-inch radius, 22 Reissue Medium Jumbo frets, and classic Block inlays. A Nylon nut and 24.75-inch scale length complete the traditional neck specifications, offering a comfortable and familiar playing experience.

The electronics are centered around a Custom Staple neck pickup and a Custombucker Alnico 3 bridge pickup, recreating the distinctive tonal character of the early Les Paul Custom. Two volume controls and two tone controls provide familiar hands-on shaping, while the three-way toggle offers quick access to the neck, bridge, or combined pickup positions. An ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece provide the traditional foundation for precise intonation and sustain.

Gold-finished hardware, Black Top Hat control knobs, black plastic appointments, and Soapbar and Zebra pickup covers complete the vintage-inspired appearance. Kluson Waffleback tuners add another period-correct detail, while the Heavy Aged treatment gives the instrument a naturally worn-in presence. Weighing 8 lbs 7 oz, this Limited Edition Custom Shop reissue comes complete with a Hardshell Case, Certificate of Authenticity Booklet, and Historic Reissue Hang Tags. Part Number: LPB5426LE23255. With its Heavy Aged Ebony finish, period-inspired appointments, distinctive Staple pickup, and traditional 1954 construction, this Les Paul Custom is a beautifully executed tribute to one of Gibson's most iconic early designs.
