Offering a standard complement of features these tube follower design preamps need more headroom, plain and simple as well as lower noise.

About the modifications:

On these preamps we install new low noise tube, New high performance Burr Brown opamps in every audio stage, low noise capacitors in the audio path locations and power rails.

We then modify the power supply for more headroom, lower noise and better current delivery.

We then go further and clean up the entire circuit with more noise reduction. Make some value adjustments for more warmth and punch and finally clean up any remaining issues in the audio path.

Over all we get 7db more headroom, much lower noise, Wider bandwidth, Better detail and a LOT more warmth and punch.
