A cool thing is that there are red LEDs behind the meters that start flashing when the signal approaches clipping. In full transparency sometimes upon initial power up the red LEDs turn on for a while, but once you put a signal through the unit they start operating normally, you have to wait a while for the tubes to warm up anyways.
