Fargen Dual Classic

Here’s a real cool one.

I’m a big fan of Ben Fargen’s amps. He’s just got an ear for both the British and the American tones.

This is a 30 W amp with 2 6L6 NOS American tubes

The first channel is American black face and the second one is Marshall / British. There is some overlap if you turn the gain way down in the second channel, you grt a similar sound to the first channel but there’s a lot more gain in fact a whole Nother gain stage in the second channel as well as a decade switch

There is a buffered effect loop in there, but it’s not working. I’m not sure if there’s something I’m not doing right to turn it on.

The first channel has Reverb

There is also a global presence knob

Other than the effects loop the amp is in perfect working order and exceptional cosmetic condition for age. I do not see any marks on it. It’s a very nice looking amp 

Like I said from the start, I’m a big fan of Ben Fargen amps I’ve had him mod some of my amps. I’ve had many of his amps over the years.

You can put other octal tubes in here. I find the 6L6s are the best for this amp 

I also put a Celestion type a in there It’s one of my favorite speakers for what I call a hybrid Amp one that’s sort of doing a bit of American a bit of British. It bridges is the gap exceptionally well 

If for some reason you want a different speaker, I have lots of speakers and can accommodate, but this is the best one I have had in there so far
