Hi, what we have here, is about the nicest Hamer Standard (explorer) U.S.A. now available. These guitars hardly ever come up for sale.I am selling it because honestly the guitar is too good for me and my mediocre playing.
This guitar has the "Mojo" or "Magic " that guitarists always look for.It sounds great and plays very nice.
I am a Certified Luthier, and I will describe the guitar honestly and to the best of my knowledge.
First of all, I do not use the word "Excellent" in describing guitars often, but this guitar is in Excellent condition, first considering the rarity, and the fact that it can't have been used much ! The case is also in very, very nice condition. The guitar has been used, but obviously not much.
The frets only show the tiniest of marks up to the third fret,The finish is excellent with no dings or deep scratches, there is only the smallest of hand contact scratches from normal use.The Gold plating is very nice, with almost an unnoticeable chrome coming through on tailpiece.Gold on stock Schaller tuning machines is like new.Gold on pickup covers has normal contact scratches, but still nice.Guitar has original stock Seymour Duncan Seth Lover Humbucking Pickups.Wiring is all stock, nothing has been molested! Headstock graphics are perfect (Hamer USA).Neck is nice and straight.Honestly this guitar appears to have been played a few times and put under a bed.The build date is 1996, the last era of Chicago production before being taken over and moved to Connecticut.
I've cleaned the guitar and oiled the Beautiful Rosewood neck.I set the guitar up with new S.I.T. Powerwound .010-.046 electric guitar strings (Great Strings !)
As I mentioned ,the case is also in very, very nice condition. With all original case candy included, warranty card, accessories pamphlet, and case key.
I will stand behind this guitar, I will hold your payment until you say you are satisfied,or am willing to use an escrow agent for your safety in the transaction.I had usually sold guitars on Ebay under the tag "biglugauctions",I am maintaining a 100 % satisfaction rating there ,but the Ebay fees are getting crazy and makes using them barely worth it.
Well, to finish, if you have been looking for a USA made (Chicago Era) Hamer Standard (Explorer) guitar, this is the one !! This guitar is as nice as can be found beside a N.O.S. instrument. One sold on Reverb recently for $3499. and appeared not as nice as this one.I am open to serious offers,so please contact me.
Good luck on this Beautiful Hamer USA Standard !!
Wow, I had someone notify me about a Hamer guitar site,I went there to look.I sure got beat up on that blog,I'm an Assclown, no Hemingway(I think I write a good ad !),and much more hateful drama.PEOPLE , I did not have a very easy way to find out what the value was on this guitar, the information on these 1996 Standards are scarce! I did not mean to throw anyone into a tizzy, or try to extort the amount I was asking out of you.I simply started high and left the listing OPEN FOR OFFERS !Also this guitar is as clean as I described and it does have tons of Mojo and great tone,I'm sorry if the very good condition put you off (sorry it's not a cheap beater !). But ,last I checked I got charged out the wazoo for a collectible guitar BECAUSE of it's good condition .Isn't condition everything in the Guitar World ????I've lowered the guitar $1000. to show good faith.I am still OPEN TO OFFERS !Oh, yes and the comment that "Oh, the case is so nice", silly people, I just meant that usually a clean case is an indication of an even cleaner guitar is in the case !! Oh, and sorry I mentioned that I am a Certified Luthier, of course that must mean I am full of myself and up to my ass in my own nice guitars (nothing can be further than the truth!).
So please people, don't pick apart my ad.If you knew me face to face and didn't have the web to anonymously flex your muscles behind ,you would not say these things, not as a threat, but,I am a nice guy, and you would feel real bad if you had any conscience .
I am simply trying to sell a super nice example of this guitar, and trying to make as much on it as I can, as anybody would.  P.S. I donate a lot of my time and services to kids starting guitar, because I don't want Rock and Roll to die.So if you pay a higher price for this one in this super nice condition, know that you are giving back, to up and coming guitarists !!
