This here is a single coil MFD pickup made to go into an SB2; I bought this with the intent of modding a single coil p with a bridge pickup that wasn't the stereotypical J and just never got around to it.
This pickup has never been used and therefore I cannot comment on the tone; I have read the sb2 bridge pickup isnt wound hot enough to hang with the MFD P (which isn't a shocker, that pickup is insanely hot). I would imagine it being an MFD would easily qualify it to compliment a vintage-voiced pickup though.
It is a single coil, so Im sure 60 cycle hum is a consideration. It appears to have similar winding to a p90 (squat coil, big bar magnets) and is ceramic. It comes in its original packaging with screws and foam. Feel free to shoot over an offer!
