Recording King RK-R87 -SN c. 2007 - Sunburst

Early Recording King RK-R87-SN "The Soloist" — Date not known, but this is Serial #0000035. Excellent condition. Flamed maple neck and resonator, gold-plated hardware, extensive Style-6-inspired pearl inlay and 20-hole bell-brass tone ring. One of the premium professional Recording King models from the company's early period. This is part of a friend's estate and is priced to move.

The banjo is in excellent condition for its age. The finish, resonator, neck, fingerboard and gold-plated hardware are all exceptionally clean. The instrument has been well cared for and presents extremely well.

There are some minor cosmetic marks consistent with normal handling, but nothing that detracts significantly from its appearance.

The original bridge has been replaced with a compensated/intonated bridge and a brass sliding capo rail has been installed along the side of the neck. OHSC included.
