A true closet find! This guitar has had one owner since its purchase about 60 years ago. It was seldom played and kept in its case in a closet.
The original plastic bridge has been replaced with one made of rosewood that matches the fretboard perfectly. There is a mark on the soundboard under the strings and parallel to the front of the bridge. It is probably from the old bridge. It is hard to see in the pictures. The only signs of play wear are the scratches on the screwed-on pickguard. The tuners have not been replaced and work as they should.
Included is the original chipboard case with brass Gibson logo inside! There are a few scuff marks on the outside, but the handle, latches, and hinges all work perfectly.
It is extremely rare to find a 60-year old instrument in this kind of condition and this complete.
This is the final price drop.
