Shakulute Shakuhachi Headjoint for Concert Flute made by master shakuhachi maker Monty Levenson of Tai Hei Shakuhachi.This particular one is made with quality Madaké bamboo, and with Tozan style Utaguchi inlay. It has been adjusted to fit my vintage Gemeinhardt 3SS flute, but your flute repair tech can adjust the fit for your specific flute, just like a regular headjoint. There is a superficial hairline crack in the back, (see photo) which does not go through the bore, and has been there for over 10 years without causing any issue. It comes with a detachable thumb rest for the right hand thumb. These are currently priced at $1250, but it can be yours for much less!
