The Model: Squier introduced the Vintage Modified (VM) series to offer vintage specs with upgraded, name-brand electronics. The '70s model specifically came with the large headstock, 21 frets, and a black-on-black color scheme.
The Pickups: Unlike cheaper Squier lines that used generic ceramic magnets, your Duncan Designed SC-101 pickups were factory-standard for this model. They utilize real Alnico 5 magnets, giving the guitar a much clearer, more authentic Fender chime and punch.
The Refurbishment: At some point early in its life, this guitar had a minor issue (such as a finish scratch, a loose wire, or a fret burr). It was stamped "USED", the factory Indonesian prefix was stickered over to protect Fender's retail warranty, and it was sold at a discount.
These MIRC-refurbished Squier Vintage Modified guitars are highly sought after by players today. Because the refurbishment center individually bench-tested and setup each instrument before stickering it, they often play better out of the box than standard factory-line models.
One small ding on the upper horn which you can see if zoomed in on the picture. Missing tremolo arm. Glossy black finish.
Includes a brand new Fender gig bag.
