This is a very very intelligent noise suppressor not just a simple noise gate. it detects the string movement from your guitars clean input signal, then gradually reduces the heavily distorted signal after the last distortion pedal in your pedal board or as the last pedal in FX loop of your tube amp lead channel. if you run an stereo distorted amp setup you can link this to another one. So as long as any string moves the gate is open. Any other gate pedal just close the gate depends on the knob, regardless of the string movement. I’m selling this because you only can link 2 of these and I’ve got 3.
