Vintage American Conservatory Bowl-Back Mandolin – Antique – Restoration Project

Beautiful vintage American Conservatory bowl-back mandolin with ornate decorative detailing and original bridge. This has been in the family for approximately 50 years.

Overall, it is in good condition for its age, with normal age-related wear, scratches, and finish wear. The instrument appears complete, but there are a few things to note:

  • Original bridge
  • One screw is missing from one of the tuning pegs
  • There is a small opening/seam where you can see daylight through it and it should be addressed as part of restoration
  • No obvious cracks visible in the top
  • No obvious neck damage or warning signs visible
  • Could be restored and put back into playing condition relatively quickly by someone familiar with vintage instruments
  • Being sold as pictured and as-is

This would make a great project for a vintage instrument collector, luthier, or someone who appreciates antique mandolins.

Please look carefully at all photos for condition and details.
