Up for sale is a rare vintage Roland AS-1 Sustainer, manufactured in Japan in the late 1970s. This early pre-BOSS Roland pedal delivers classic analog compression with long, smooth sustain and punchy output level boost.
Condition Details
Cosmetics: Shows light vintage wear appropriate for its age, with clean faceplate graphics and intact original control knobs. Bottom plate retains the original Japanese instruction sticker.
Electronics & Circuitry: 100% functional. Internal gut photos show original components, clean circuit board, clean soldering, and intact dual 9V battery connectors with original foam pad.
Power & Operation: Powered via two 9V batteries (standard for this vintage circuit) or hardwired power source. Input/output jacks and footswitch engage smoothly without crackle.
Controls
Sustain: Adjusts the amount of compression/sustain strength.
Out Level: Controls overall output volume, perfect for pushing the front end of a tube amp.
