FTelettronica Critical Theory CMOS Bass Overdrive

The FTelettronica Critical Theory CMOS Bass Overdrive is a handmade Italian bass overdrive built around the distinctive character of CMOS-based clipping. Compared with more conventional diode or transistor-based overdrive circuits, CMOS clipping has its own thing going on, with a dynamic response and plenty of harmonic content. The Critical Theory can cover everything from a little warmth and grit to a much more pronounced overdriven sound.

The pedal was designed specifically with bass in mind, so the goal isn't simply to take a guitar overdrive circuit and put it on a bass board. It adds character and harmonic complexity while keeping the fundamental presence of the bass intact.
