Player's grade Sonor Teardrop "New York" outfit in Ruby Pearl. Later 60s or early 70s 6-ply beech shells. New Evans coated G1 heads on the toms.

Here are some details:

Bass Drum 20" diameter x 14" depth: 

  • Chrome lugs have some pitting and scratches.
  • Chrome T-rods and claws have some pitting and scratches.
  • Metal hoops have some scratches, paint loss, light rust and scratches to the inlay.
  • Wrap has many marks, scuffs and scratches. Hard to see unless you're looking up close.
  • Batter side edge in nice condition with some faint wear.
  • Reso side edge has some smalls dings and tiny gouges.
  • Spurs missing the threaded lock washers but have the original rubber feet.
  • Tunes easily and sounds great.

Floor Tom 16" diameter x 16" depth:

  • Chrome lugs have some pitting and scratches.
  • Chrome hoops have some pitting and scratches. Some small patches of rust and some rust on the inner-edge of the bottom hoop.
  • Wrap has many marks, scuffs and scratches. Hard to see unless you're looking up close.
  • Top edge has two ting dings. Otherwise in nice condition.
  • Bottom edge in good condition.
  • Legs are not original but similar to what Sonor would have included.
  • Two of the leg mounts have unoriginal set screws.
  • Tunes easily and sounds great.

Rack Tom 13" diameter x 9" depth:

  • Chrome lugs have some pitting and scratches.
  • Chrome hoops have some pitting and scratches.
  • Wrap has many marks, scuffs and scratches. Hard to see unless you're looking up close.
  • Edges in good condition.
  • Top edge has some gold glitter stuck to it.
  • Tunes easily and sounds great.

Rack Tom 12" diameter x 8" depth:

  • Chrome lugs have some pitting and scratches.
  • Chrome hoops have some pitting and scratches.
  • Wrap has many marks, scuffs and scratches. Hard to see unless you're looking up close.
  • Edges in good condition.
  • Some of the bottom tension rods are missing washers and few have rust.
  • Tunes easily and sounds great.

*The way Sonor lugs of this era are designed make threading the tension rods into the lugs a little tricky. The lugs have a loose hex nut inside only held in place by a piece of felt. Sometimes if the tension rod does not perfectly line up with the nut it won't thread in easily. This is just an inherent quirk of Sonor Teardrop era parts.
