Dunlavy Audio Labs SM-1 Speakers + Stands

These are superb speakers from Colorado's Dunlavy Audio Labs. These are the larger of the similar looking SM / SC speakers. They're both sealed units, with felt barriers around the tweeter to avoid reflections. The SM-1 is designed as a rugged studio monitor (although some people refer to an AV variant, that only applies to the SC-1) and weigh about 45 lbs each.

Dimensions are approx 25x11x13 inches. During the listening testing I confirmed all drivers are working as they should. Lots has been written about these speakers in the forums - check out their thoughts - the consistent theme is clarity and an accurate image. Placement is important.

Two cosmetic defects - there's a ding on the cabinet on one lower rear corner and a tiny loss of veneer at a rear top corner. Please see the close-ups.

These come with very solid metal stands with spikes and cups to put the spikes in if you place these on a hard surface - look at the front left foot in the photo of the stand. Finally, the speakers are a matched pair, serials 233-A and 233-B.
