Here's a current Handwired AC4 that I modded out a bit to take it to the next level. I . . .
1. Replaced speaker w/ 15w Weber Bulldog
2. Replaced some electrolytics w/ JMI value MOD caps.
3. Returned part of the preamp to JMI top boost spec for a clearer, less harsh fundamental voice.
4. Reworked the reverb tank mounting to vastly improve the presence and depth of the reverb.
5. Removed silly safety mesh from back panel. It's just there to ward off litigious weenies. Now you can access tubes easily. This also shaved a pound from the weight.
The amount started out good, now it's great. Keeps up with a band no problem, but sounds great at apartment levels too.
