Gibson Hummingbird “Montana Special” 1 of 30 1993 - All Quilted Maple Natural

For your consideration is an exceptionally rare piece of Gibson Bozeman history: A 1993 Gibson Hummingbird “Montana Special” in an all-natural finish, featuring a stunning, highly figured quilted maple top, back, and sides.

This is not a standard Hummingbird. This guitar is one of only 30 units ever produced in this specific, highly custom run from the early 1990s Bozeman era. This is the only one of these particular and rare models for sale, I have never seen another one listed.

This instrument is in Excellent Condition and has been meticulously cared for in a climate-controlled, humidified environment.

Cosmetics: The stunning quilted maple top, back and sides look incredible. There is no visible checking or other signs of age on its well-kept 33 year-old nitro finish. No visible dings, scratches or gouges.

Structure: The bridge is perfectly flush with the top, no belly bulging or lifting. The neck joint is completely solid. No cracks, breaks, or repairs whatsoever.

Playability: The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action is comfortably low with plenty of saddle left for future adjustments.
